Aftercare

Taking off your bandage:

• If you have a plastic wrap covering, please take off within 3-4 hours of your tattoo appointment.

• If you have a Saniderm covering, take off within 3-4 days of your tattoo appointment.

Cleaning tattoo:

• Use an antibacterial soap to keep your tattoo clean. Dial Gold Soap is a great choice.

• Pat dry with a clean towel.

Keeping it moisturized:

• Apply a thin layer of tattoo salve for the first 2-3 days.

• Aquaphor and Hustle Butter both work great.

• After any scabs have fallen away, use a fragrance free lotion for at least 5 more days.

Healing:

• If it scabs, do not peel it. Allow it to flake off on its own.

• It will probably become itchy. Don’t scratch at it. Patting it gently can sometimes ease the need to itch.

Stay away from contaminates:

• Tattoos are open skin, please treat it as such.

• Avoid pools and the ocean for at least two weeks.

• Do not submerge your tattoo under water for at least 2 weeks.

Sun protection:

• Do not expose your fresh tattoo to the sun.

• After it has healed, use sunscreen to protect your tattoo from the sun.
